Asesinan a defensor de derechos humanos integrante de la Organización Sociedad Civil Las Abejas de Acteal

Repudiamos la acción criminal que ésta imperando en los Altos de Chiapas
El día de hoy, alrededor de la 10:00 horas, en la cabecera municipal de Simojovel, fue asesinado de un disparo de arma de fuego Simón Pedro Pérez López (Simón Pedro), quien iba acompañado de su hijo, para hacer compras en el mercado. El Perpetrador iba en una motocicleta en movimiento desde donde le disparó de manera directa.
Simón Pedro era defensor de derechos humanos, vivía en la comunidad de Israelita, municipio de Simojovel, perteneciente a la Parroquia de Santa Catarina del municipio de Pantelhó, era catequista, integrante de la Organización Sociedad Civil Las Abejas de Acteal (Las Abejas de Acteal), de la cual fue Presidente de la Mesa Directiva en el año 2020.
Desde su trabajo como integrante de Las Abejas de Acteal y como servidor de la iglesia, trabajó en la promoción y defensa de los derechos de los pueblos indígenas, desde esa labor había estado acompañando a comunidades que han denunciando la violencia, solicitando su cese y la búsqueda de justicia.
El Centro de Derechos Humanos Fray Bartolomé de Las Casas repudia el asesinato de Simón Pedro Pérez López, abraza a su familia, así como a las y los integrantes de Las Abejas de Acteal y a todas y todos los servidores de la Parroquia de Santa Catarina, Pantelhó.
Exigimos a las autoridades del Gobierno del Estado de Chiapas una investigación diligente, garantizando la seguridad de la familia de Simón Pedro y de las y los integrantes de Las Abejas de Acteal.
Recordamos que el Pueblo Creyente de la Diócesis de San Cristóbal de Las Casas, el pasado mes de mayo hizo un llamado para la paz indicando que: “La exigencia de justicia también fue el motor que nos llevó a levantarnos como Pueblo Creyente. Hoy como ayer seguimos exigiendo y construyendo justicia, el bien común y la paz. Esta paz que anhelamos no es quedarnos callados, calladas o tranquilas tranquilos es anuncio y denuncia, es acción colectiva”.
